Due to lack of interest the Great Homemade Boat Race has been cancelled. Much kudos to the brave soul that was constructing his boat – put it in a shed for next summer because we fully intend to make this a big deal in June or July!!! Hopefully we can rally enough troops then.

In the meantime, come out to the Pub tonight to see some film shorts from the Durango Independent Film Festival. I guarantee the most bizarre tribute to Michael Jackson that you will ever see…one to remember! Show starts at 7:00!

We’re still accepting teams for the Homemade Boat Race Sept. 12. Teams can consist of as many people as you’d like and only one person has to ride in the boat. Yes, the water is low, and yes, the water is cold. Quit complaining!! In the U.S., someone is diagnosed with breast cancer every 2-3 minutes. All you have to do to help is throw together your boat of whatever you’ve got lying around, and for $30 your team is registered.
